Alexander Lock late of Ryhall deceased

In the Name of God Amen – the 28 day of May 1743:
according to ye Computation of the Church of England: I Alexander Lock
of Ryhall in ye County of Rutland, Carpenter, being in perfect –
Memory, & Remembrance: (praised be God) doe make and ordain
this my Last Will & Testament; in manner & following: Viz:
First I bequeath my soul into ye hands of God who gave it: & my body
to be decently buried in Ryhall Church=yard – – –
Item: I give all my board; Shellboards: & all ye sawn wood fitt for Carpenters
use, to be equally divided between, Thomas Lock my eldest son, and
Allexander Lock my second son: –
Item: I allso give all my working=tools to William Lock my youngest son
when he shall come to ye age of one & twenty years; & which=soever
of his Brothers will be so kind to learn him his trade shall have
ye free use of all said tools untill he shall come to that age; working
fo his mother all tht term of time; & keeping ye tools in good repair:
by him that have ye use of them—-
Item: All the rest of my goods and chattell I give to Ann my beloved wife
whom I appoint sole executrix of this my last Will & Testament, paying
all my debts: Revolking all other Wills & Testaments whatsoever;
in witness whereof I have here unto set my hand & seall ye day and year above written.
