Christopher Gray was the son of Frederick Gray and Angelina Smith. Christopher was born on the 18th December 1870 according to the baptism record for South Kyme. This birth date also tallies with the date of birth given on the 1939 register, although currently no birth registration can be found consequently no birth certificate can be found.
What is unusual is the fact that Christopher was baptised at least four times as follows:
- Baptism – Coleby, Lincoln 1870 Dec 30th Christopher son of Frederick & Angelina Gray abode Grantham (no occupation)
- Baptism – Billingborough, Lincoln 1871 Feb 7th Christopher son of Frederick & Angelina Gray abode Billingborough occupation Chair Bottomer
- Baptism: Hale Magna, Lincoln 1871 13 Feb (Private) Christopher son of Frederick & Angelina Gray – Travellers
- Baptism – South Kyme, Lincoln 1871 August 26th (Private) Christopher son of Frederick and Angelina Gray, abode North Kyme occupation Gipsy. Born 18th Dec 1870

Chirstopher went onto marry Cecilia Newby in 1919 and died in 1946.
