95 In the Name of God Amen the Two & Twentieth day of August in the Sixteenth yeare of the raigne of our Soveraigne Lord Charles the Second King of England &c and in the yeare of our Lord god 1664: I Thomas Locke of Whaplod in the Countie of Lincolne husbandman being sicke in bodie but of perfect remembrance thanks be to almighty god have Maid and ordained this my last Will and Testament utterly renounceinge all other and former wills doe Make this my last will and Testament in Manner and following viz First I bequeath my soule Into the hands of almighty god my maker and redeemer hopinge that through the Merits of Jesus Christ my onely saviour and redeemer to receive free pardon of all my sins And as for my body to be buried in Christian buriall at the discretion of my Executor hereafter Mentioned And for my Temporall Estate I bequeath as followeth: First I give and bequeath unto my Sone Thomas Locke Twentie pounds to be put out to the best use within two yeares after my decease to be put into the hands of my trustie and welbeloved freind Anthony Johnson Also I give to my said sone Thomas one longe table now standing in the hall six buffett stooles one great chest in the parlor which was his Mothers My will is that my wife shall have the use of Table the stooles & the chest untill my sone shall attaine the Age of one & Twentie yeares if shee shall happen to live soe longe Item I give to my two daughters Elizabet and Sussan Twentie pounds apeece to be paid when they shall attaine their severall ages of one and Twentie yeares. And also my will is that if either of them shall happen to depart this life before they shall attaine the age of one & Twentie yeares then my Will is that they shall be one an others Executor and also my will is that if both of them shall happen to die be fore they come to their severall ages then my Will is that the said Twentie pounds apeece before bequeathed to my daughters shall remaine in the hands of my Executor Also my Will is that if my sone Thomas shall happen to depart this life before he attaine the age of one & Twentie yeares then my Will is that the Moneys before bequeathed be paid in to the hands of my Executor Item I give to Anne Garner my Wifes daughter tenne pounds to be paid by my Executor when shee shall attaine the age of one & Twentie yeares Item I give to my Brother John Locke Twentie shillings to be paid by my Executor within six monthes after my decease And his acquittance to be my Executors discharge
Item I give to Daniell Browne five shillinges to be paid by my Executor All the rest of my goods and Chattells unbequeathed I give unto Anne my wife whome I doe make my full and soale Executor of this my last will and Testament shee payinge my debts and Legacyes and bringinge my body decently to the ground And I request my trustie and welbeloved friende Anthony Johnson to be supervisor of this my last will and Testament In witnesse whereof I have sett to my hand and seale first above written
