ON the 21st day of December 1878 the Will with Codicil thereto of John Hope Maclean formerly of late of Limehouse in the County of Middlesex Manager of the Limehouse Branch of the London and County Bank deceased, who died on the 6th day of December 1878 at the Limehouse Branch of the London and County Bank aforesaid No 680 Commercial Road in the said County was proved in the Principal Registry of the Probate Division of the High Court of Justice, by the Oath of William Burton Locke of No 57 Mostyn Road Brixton in the County of Surrey Commercial Clerk and John Locke of No 3 Leslie Place Maple Road Penge in the said County of Surrey Grocer the Executors named in the said Will they having been first sworn duly to administer, power being reserved of granting Probate of the said Will and to the other Executor named in the the other Executor having renounced the Probate and Execution of the said Will Effects under £ 450. No leasehold
I John Hope Maclean of Limehouse in the County of Middlesex Manager of the Limehouse Branch of the London and County Bank do hereby revoke all Wills Codicils and other Testamentary dispositions made by me at anytime heretofore and declare this to be my last Will and Testament I direct that my body may be interred at Ryhall near Stamford in the County of Lincoln and the expenses of my funeral shall not exceed the sum of sixty pounds I give the following legacies that is to say To Henry William Hunt Messenger at the said Branch of the said Bank the sum of fifty pounds and to his son Henry Charles Hunt the sum of Ten pounds And as to all the rest residue and remainder of my estate and effects whatsoever and wheresoever I devise and bequeath the same unto and to the use of William Burton Locke and John Locke Cousins of my late Wife their heirs executors administrators and assigns in equal shares as tenants in common But if either of them shall die in my lifetime then I devise and bequeath my said residuary estate and effects unto the survivor of them living at my decease his heirs executors administrators and assigns And I hereby nominate and appoint the said William Burton Locke and John Locke Executors of this my Will In witness whereof I have hereunder set my hand this twenty second day of November One thousand eight hundred and seventy eight — J.
