The “Lock” family name can be definitively traced back through the generations. It leads to John Lock of Langtoft who died in 1682. Many other “Lock’s” are in the surrounding area. Nevertheless, finding evidence of a definitive link to John Lock is not always straightforward. Linking them to the “family” can be difficult.
