IN THE MATTER of the Will of CLARA CAROLINE LOCKE otherwise known as Clare Caroline Locke late of Leake Street Cottesloe in the State of Western Australia Married Woman deceased :
BE IT KNOWN that on the 20th day of September one thousand nine hundred and thirty-five the Last Will and Testament ( a copy whereof is hereunto annexed ) of CLARA CAROLINE LOCKE otherwise known as Clare Caroline Locke late of Leake Street Cottesloe in the State of Western Australia Married Woman deceased who died on the Second day of August one thousand nine hundred and thirty-five at Cottesloe aforesaid was, proved approved and registered in the Supreme Court of the said State at Perth and that administration of the real and personal estate of the said deceased was granted by the aforesaid Court to CHARLES JAMES LOCKE and JOHN ALTON LOCKE both of Leake Street Cottesloe aforesaid Furniture Manufacturers the husband and son respectively of the said deceased the Executors named in the said Will they having been first sworn well and faithfully to administer the same I hereby certify that the sum of £ 32-13-0 has been paid for duty under the Administration Act 1903-1934. THIS IS THE LAST WILL AND TESTAMENT of me CLARE CAROLINE LOCKE of Leake Street Cottesloe wife of Charles James Locke
I REVOKE all Wills and other testamentary dispositions heretofore made by me.
I APPOINT my husband CHARLES JAMES LOCKE and my son JOHN ALTON LOCKE to be the Executors and Trustees of this my Will.
I DIRECT that any jewellery, trinkets, watches, clothing and other articles of a like personal nature belonging to me shall be divided between my three daughters in equal shares.
I BEQUEATH to my Trustees One thousand shares in C.&.H.Locke Limited UPON TRUST to pay the dividends from such shares (free of Probate and Estate duties) to my sisters MRS HANNAH GAMBLE of 13 Westall Street Hyde Park Adelaide and MRS RHODA TEBBUTT of Leake Street Cottesloe during their joint lives in equal shares and on the death of one of them to pay the whole of such dividends (free of Probate and Estate duties) to the survivor during her life and after the death of such survivor to divide such shares equally between all my grand-children then living with power during the minority of such grand-children to apply the whole or any portion of the share to which any such grand-child may be entitled under this my Will in or towards the maintenance education support or advancement in life of such grand-child.
I EMPOWER my Executors and Trustees to continue to hold any shares in C.&.H.Locke Limited or in any other Company to which I may be entitled for so long as they in their absolute discretion may think proper and with power to sell such shares or any portion thereof when they may think proper – In the event of my Trustees selling the One thousand shares in C.&.H.Locke Limited above referred to then the income from the proceeds of the sale thereof shall be applicable in the same manner as the trusts hereinbefore declared in respect of the dividends arising from such shares and the capital of such proceeds shall be held by my Trustees upon the same trusts as are hereinbefore declared in respect of the said shares.

ALL the rest and residue of my property both real and personal and wheresoever situate I GIVE DEVISE AND BEQUEATH to my Executors and Trustees in trust to pay my just debts funeral and testamentary expenses and subject thereto IN TRUST to divide the balance of my real and personal estate between my four children EDITH MARY HELENA FINCH, LILLIE ETHEL ROBINSON, JOHN ALTON LOCKE and KATHLEEN LOCKE in equal shares and in order to effect such division I empower my Executors and Trustees to sell and convert into money my real and personal estate or any portion thereof.
IN WITNESS whereof I have to this my Last Will and Testament set my hand this 11th day of October one thousand nine hundred and thirty-four.
